Breakfast & Brunch, Edible Gifts, Recipes / 21.04.2017

I have a sister who loves to bake, just like I do. When I stayed with her recently, I tasted her latest creation - this totally addictive chocolate granola. She worked hard at perfecting the recipe, and then kindly shared it with me. I promised that I'd send her a shout-out for that. So thanks Sandra! Considering how delicious this chocolate granola tastes, I was quite surprised to find that is also quite healthy. Healthy is not really my thing, so I added my own special touch - in the form of some chocolate chips. There, that's better! Not only is this granola delicious and fairly healthy...

I know, I know. Easter is all about chocolate. But that doesn't mean you can't mix it up a little and try something completely different! This triple-layered Speckled Egg Coconut Cake is the perfect show-stopper to end your Easter meal. It's made with light and fluffy coconut flavoured sponge cake, and iced with a coconut cream buttercream. This is a fun recipe for kids to get involved in - they can lend a hand by rolling the balls of dough and icing the crosses. If, like me, you are not a fan of raisins then try adding chopped dried apricots or cranberries instead. Ingredients: Cookies: 200g...

Plenty of lovely chocolates around at Easter time. Plenty. Almost an annoyingly large amount. So why would make your own? There is something incredibly satisfying about making your own chocolates. Seeing the fruits of your labour, staring at the pretty, glossy shapes and thinking "I made those". There are so many beautiful chocolate moulds at baking stores these days (especially at Easter) that you're sure to find something you love. I think the best thing about making your own chocolate is choosing the chocolate/filling combinations! You can really tailor-make your very own personal favourite. I'm crazy about Belgian chocolate seashells filled with hazelnut praline, so I was...
