This Rolo Pastry Braid is dangerously easy to make! Essentially it is just a slab of chocolate, wrapped in puff pastry and sprinkled with almonds and baked. Easy, huh? If you are a fan of chocolate and caramel together, then I'm guessing you love Rolo's as much as I do. You can now buy Rolo's in chocolate slab form, which worked out wonderfully for me in making this dessert. All the lovely seasonal fruit that becomes available as the seasons change is a great inspiration for my baking. At this time of year it's the plums and pears that catch my eye. A few weeks ago we were having a large group of friends around and I needed a relatively light dessert to feed a crowd, that could be prepared in advance. This Pear and Hazelnut Tart fit the bill.
